A
Save-T Air Door/Air Curtain has several options
to create a complete air door system. All base units come from the factory
as a one-piece, non-heated, and completely assembled unit, ready to
be installed. The following is a description of options, which are designed
to meet your specific air door application requirements.
| Heaters |
|
 |
Both industrial
and commercial air door models can be ordered with either electric
or hot water/steam heaters. They can be installed by the customer
or at the factory. Heaters are mounted to the intake side of the
air door unit and can raise the temperature of the exiting air stream
by as much as 30°F. |
 |
|
Our
Save-T Indirect Gas-Fired Heaters for industrial units are recommended
for use on large doorways, in warehouses, manufacturing plants,
and shipping & receiving areas. |
| Controls
and Electric Components
Air volume
control is manually operated. It enables the air volume to be
reduced by as much as 50% without reducing the velocity of the
air output. This feature is useful in diminishing drafts, especially
on cooler doors and for applications requiring environmental separation
where wind is not a factor. |
|
|
A control
panel will protect the motors and simplify field wiring. Control
panels include contacts, overload blocks, terminal strips, and
transformers. They are completely encased in a NEMA 12 rated
enclosure. |
 |
|
There
are several methods of activation which can be used with an
air door. The most common are automatic micro door switches
(plunger and rolling type), manually operated on/off switch,
or a combination of both using an on/off/automatic switch. Remote
mounted or built-in thermostats can also be used with heated
models to activate the heater. If desired, it is possible to
tie into existing automatic door switches or to use a different
type of switch.

Mounting
Hardware
- Wall
Bracket
Industrial and Bug Control Units
Wall brackets
are required when a unit needs to be mounted away from the wall
to clear obstacles. |

|
Extension plates are recommended when the distance
between the pre-drilled top mounting holes is too narrow for
ceiling suspension or wall bracket mounting. |
