Acoustical Enclosures

TMI’s Save-T Absorber and Barrier Curtain Systems are very economical alternatives to rigid acoustical panel systems. This system is offered in two distinct styles: the Barrier Backed Configuration (BBC) and the Barrier Septum Configuration (BSC). Composite systems offer decibel reductions of up to 18 dba!

BBC models are reinforced loaded vinyl noise barriers with a quilted fiberglass absorber on one side. The barrier helps block sound and the absorber reduces sound energy in an area. Included is a quilted absorptive treatment on one side of the tough, reinforced acoustical vinyl. The BBC is suitable for exterior applications.

The BSC models have a non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier sandwiched between two layers of quilted fiberglass absorbers. All materials meet or exceed the fire ratings of Class 1 per ASTM E84 (84a).

Our unique telescoping enclosure parts are designed for heavy duty industrial applications. The two most common designs are constructed of 1-1/4” square tubing and 2” square tubing. The maximum span width and height for 1-1/4” tubing is 10 feet, while the 2” square tubing design allows for spans of 12 ft. (width between vertical posts) and heights of 12 ft.
TMI will design and fabricate all parts required for your specific application. It is a modular design that requires no special tools for installation.

Acoustical Screens

TMI’s Save-T Acoustical Screens can be supplied with any of the quilted fiberglass or absorber/ barrier composite panels. The standard size portable, heavy-duty square steel tube frame is 4’0” wide x 8’0” high. Acoustical panels include perimeter grommets for easy attachment to the frames with nylon ties. Casters, special size frames, and custom fabric facings are available.

Baffles and Wall Mounted Panels

Save-T Baffles
Baffles are hung from the ceiling to absorb and dissipate reflecting noise. The standard size of baffles is 4’0” wide x 2’0” high, with brass grommets for hanging.
To achieve maximum noise reduction, apply one baffle per 10 square feet of floor space (Noise reduction varies from 2.5-9 dBA)

Save-T Wall Mounted Panels
These “soft” sound absorbing acoustical overhead baffles and wall mounted panels are an effective and economical solution for reverberate noise reduction in laboratories, industrial environments and other architectural applications. All materials meet or exceed the fire ratings of Class 1 per ASTM E84 (84a)
