Extra thick panels, .24" to .50" thick,
can be cut to size using pneumatically operated cutting machine
thus creating accurate, straight, square, clean cuts up to17' in
length. Panels can be re-rolled the opposite direction to reduce
the curl caused by the roll.
|
| Normalizing |
The "curl" in cut-to-size panels can
be normalized (or flattened) by heating them in a 250°F oven.
While lying flat in the oven, the material will soften and then
maintain the new, uncurled condition once cooled to room temperature.
Normalized panels are shipped flat and tissue interleaved on custom
made skids to protect the material.

Extrusion Welding enables panel materials up
to .500" thick to be welded together. Typically opaque materials
are welded to clear PVC to create impact plates on custom panels.
Hot Air Welding is used to attach a vinyl coated item to the PVC
panel. It is commonly used to attach velcro to custom panels. |
